Second hand smoke is the third leading cause of death in the US, killing more than 53,000 non-smokers each year.

  • In Georgia, 49% of middle school students have tried cigarettes.
  • The tobacco industry spends $146 million on youth advertising each year in Georgia alone.
  • According to the CDC, teen smokers are three times more likely to use alcohol, eight times more likely to use marijuana, and twenty-two times more likely to use cocaine.
